PGCE Primary and Early Years, Degree in Physical Geography BSc

Experience:

I completed my PGCE at the University of Cambridge in 2014 and worked at a school in London before moving to Dubai to teach. In 2012 I completed a Physical Geography Degree at the University of Reading.

Approach:

My key approach to teaching and tutoring is to ensure that each child I teach feels safe and valued in order to learn effectively and confidently. I use a range of teaching techniques to support a range of learning styles. This means that my teaching is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child. Learning needs to be fun, interactive and meaningful. Before planning a lesson, I reflect on the previous lesson taught to identify areas where the child needs to be challenged further or misconceptions need to be addressed. By doing this it ensures that the child has full coverage and mastery of the subject I am teaching and they make good progress.
