Experience:

Taught English as a second language to immigrant students funded by Immigration Canada. I was responsible for student assessment and evaluation on a regular basis and helped students improve in listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. I have worked with international students to help prepare for exams such as TOEFL & IELTS. I have taught student skills and strategies for vocabulary building, reading, essay writing, speaking tasks and customized lessons for individual needs for academic English and everyday English.

Approach:

Al my lesson plans are catered to the students needs. The initial meeting is an intake session for me to understand the student needs and goals. I like to create a student plan for myself and my student to show process and achievements. Understanding the various learning styles is very important to me as a tutor, because it allows me assess the students' strengths and weakness.
