Experience:

I started teaching Korean students in the Philippines way back in 2010. I conduct one-on-one, small group & online tutoring sessions in specific subject areas to students of all ages. In addition, I help the students develop the knowledge, skills & confidence needed to become independent learners in English. My tutoring experience here in Dubai began when a colleague asked me to tutor her child who is having difficulty in keeping up with the lessons in school, primarily in Science & English.

Approach:

I've learned that in order to be an effective tutor it is important that I utilize the following: (a) Maintain a report about each child so as to see the progress of the child (b) To be in contact with the teacher and the parents of the child, in order to share information about the child (c) Devise new methods of teaching if the child is having trouble learning through the conventional method (d) Design workshops for the children so that they can learn better in different atmosphere than school. After all the essence of effective teaching is to transform even the most challenging students into learners.
