PGCE in Primary School Teaching, BA in Science

Experience:

I have 5 years experience tutoring Maths, English, Phonics and Science to children across both Primary and Secondary level as well as examination preparation. I have trained under the British Curriculum and I am experienced and up to date with the new British Curriculum. I have worked in schools both  in the UK and the UAE and have extensive experience tutoring children from a wide range of backgrounds and with a variety of needs and abaility levels. 

Approach:

My teaching approach consists of a wide range of methods to keep teaching and learning fun through the use of written, oral and practical approaches to learning. This keeps the 'fun' in learning and children remain interested and focused on the tasks at hand. Lessons are always prepared beforehand to ensure time spent with the learner is quality teaching and learning time. The lessons are interactive and will focus on what the child is learning at school or will reinforce learning to work alongside schools. Parents will also be given feedback to be kept updated on their child's progress and areas which need special attention. Teaching should be fun, interactive and encourage learners to think critically and to spark their own individual creativity and interests. The better a child does at school the more confident they will be and the more they will enjoy their learning!
