Experience:

I have recently moved to Dubai from England, and am now in my ninth year of teaching. I have taught students ranging from 5-11 years old. My strengths include both Maths, English and Science. I have been teaching children who are non native English teachers at four international schools in three different countries. I can be available for tutoring in the evenings from 5pm or during the weekend.

Approach:

For learning to be memorable it should be fun, especially from a young age. Language and understanding of number in particular develop through play and learning in a real life context. Having small but consistent learning targets can help students to remain focused on how they can move forward and improve. The teacher's relationship with the learner is incredibly important also, without this being secure, the learning experience may well be limited. I currently work at the only school in Abu Dhabi to be rated as 'Outstanding' by ADEC and I would like to bring some of these teqneques used at my school to also help your child learn and progress.
