I have tutored my cousin before who also studied Electrical Engineering. Neighboring students on grade school and high school level.

I plan it ahead of time and need to know the weakness of the student in subject area. What topics are currently discussed by their teachers and what references or books do they use for uniformity of understanding. I make sure the student/s understand easily and comprehends the subject well. Assignments is one of the best way to mentor students. I have the patience to repeat the subject matter to students who have difficulty to understand directly.
