Bachelor of Education.

Experience:

I have five years experience tutoring. During this period I have honed my skills to be able to provide a customised educational program to each and every student. I hold a Bachelor of Education and have completed numerous other courses which focussed on teaching students with Special Educational Needs; both students with exceptionally high IQ's and those with learning difficulties. The courses covered sensory issues, using adapted IT as well as modified approaches to English and Maths.

Approach:

I aim to facilitate rather than dictate a student's learning. I act as a guide for each student pointing them in the direction of their proposed learning. In this manner the student gains hands on experience and is much more likely to retain and completely understand the information encountered and the skills gained. Student engagement is key and computers and iPads are excellent motivators increasing the student's engagement and therefore their learning.
