BEd (Hons) Primary Education with QTS

Experience:

I studied for a degree in primary education in England for 4 years and gained QTS in 2009. I am now in my 5th year as a fully qualified teacher and am currently teaching Year 6 at a school in Sharjah. Previously, I have taught Year 4 and Year 1 classes. I also have experience teaching one-to-one and with small groups from FS through to Year 6. I am a patient and calm teacher and use a variety of prompts/resources to support learning. I focus on the positives in order to motivate students.

Approach:

It is important for me to communicate with the student and their parents to find out the strengths and areas for development. I will complete ongoing assessment in order to focus on specific areas of need. My sessions will be suited to the needs and interests of the student in order to ensure maximum progress. I prepare my own resources and endeavour to plan enjoyable and interesting sessions so that the student is fully engaged in their learning. I am able to quickly adapt my teaching.
