Qualification:

I completed Bachelor of Education from Canada. I have taught in Canadian and American Schools.

Experience:

As an educational practitioner I have worked with students in Grade 7/8, Grade 2, and Grade 4. I also taught Physical Health Education. I began teaching in Canada and then moved to Dubai 11 years ago. In Dubai, I have taught at the Universal American School and American School of Dubai. My passion is working with children one-to-one, specifically in Reading and Writing. I am looking to work with children who simply need a little motivation and encouragement to become a life-long learner.

Approach:

I am happy to help with homework but I would also like to really teach children to build on their reading and writing skills. I like to use the workshop model so that usually includes a quick mini lesson, followed by some demonstration, then the student practices skills. My lessons are one of a kind because I differentiate based on the learning needs of the student. Pacing all depends on the students progress.
