Qualification:

BEd primary education specialising in English. PGdip in special educational needs specialising in autism

Experience:

I qualified as a primary teacher 6 years ago in England. I then wants to further my experience my completing my post graduate diploma in special educational needs. I have experience of using TEACCH and ABA with primary students. It also have qualifications in social stories, makaton, behaviour and speech and language. I have tutored children with a range of needs from dyslexia to severe autism and have been very successful with the families I have worked with.

Approach:

I base my lessons on the child's interests and individual needs. If appropriate I have discussed with the child their interests and favourite topics to help integrate these into the lessons. I can also include social and behavioural sessions which can include sessions outside the home wit the parents and family to enable to child to develop in different social situations.
