Experience:

I am a native English speaker who has taught all over the world, to students of all ages and abilities. I speak four languages, which include Turkish and French. I understand testing systems and students' anxieties. I have a 94% success rate with student achievement. My Masters is in Public Administration, while my Bachelors focused on English and French.

Approach:

My motto is "Get on the bicycle." I mean that the only way to improve language, writing and reading skills is through examples and lots of practice with timely feedback. One becomes more comfortable with tasks only through practice. So, I will analyze student's weaknesses, and tailor lessons to their areas of need, with a daily objective of improvement. This is not done through lecturing, or reading from the book. I explain the concepts, give examples, work with the student, and then encourage them to begin working independently (with my supervision) immediately. I expect that students will falter, make mistakes or be reluctant, but soon enough they become comfortable with my expectations, and take pride in knowing that they can achieve real results by working problems out for themselves.
