Experience:

I have worked between industry in New Zealand and higher education sector for more than 7 years. My career has spanned between Creative Advertising and Teaching, as a Graphic Design & Multimedia Educator. My objective is to prepare a new generation of designers who cannot only make things more aesthetic, but can think, speak and write about engaging graphic design that can communicates a story through the design process.

Approach:

My approach in teaching is always based on creating a positive learning environment "Learning by Doing". I also try to highlight the things that each student does well, for example participation or achievement in class, as I believe that fosters a more positive attitude and give students a sense of independence. As designer and educator, for me a teacher should encourage student development for Critical Thinking Innovation, Problem Solving, sustainability
and Skills, rather than just focusing on finishing tasks and grades. I try to encourage students and tell them – whatever course of study you undertake, with hard work and dedication you will achieve your dreams.
