Experience:

Business Teaching professional possessing 7 years global experience in Business Education combined with 6 years in Finance covering UK Investment and Retail banking.I hold an Med, a PGCE, a BA (Hons) degree in Finance, the Certificate in Investment Management, Financial Planning 1 and 2 and The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. I have experience in teaching global qualifications in the form of A Level, AS Level, IB, GCSE, IGCSE, TAFE, BTEC and EILTS.

Approach:

I utilise the most up to date pedagogical strategies to help my students achieve their academic goals. I combine e learning platforms ( I TUNES U, Edmodo, Showbie, Apple I pad teaching apps) with 1 to 1 tuition to reinforce topics and help my students grasp concepts at their own pace. My lesson planning is based on the students holistic learning needs and will incorporate specific learning outcomes which have considered the students readiness, prior knowledge and interest in the specific topic. I utilise a scaffolding approach, consider specific question stems, look to consider regional, national and global case studies as well as look to promote discovery based learning helping my students to become metacognive thinkers and reach a level of independent thinking as self regulated learners. I look to promote my students self efficacy and a can do attitude coupled with improving my students self esteem, keeping learning fun and relaxed but at the same time not losing sight of their final academic goal.
