•13 years of schooling at the French School in Oslo •1 year of French Literature in the University of Oslo •BSc Business Studies from Cass Business School, with French for business module • MSc in Development Studies at London School of Economics

Experience:

I have a total of 7 Years of Teaching experience both in schools and outside of school, with adults and children From 2013 to 2016: Tutored children from the French school in Dubai for 3 years, both in french and mathematics (Tamara 10 years old, Mohammed 7 years old) From 2014-2015: Taught Norwegian for beginners at Eton Language Institute in Dubai (Both classroom and private- for adults) From 2014-2015: Tutored 2 children from the American school in Barsha in Mathematics for 1 year From 2016 to 2017: Taught Norwegian for beginners at Cactus Language School in London From 2017 to 2018: Worked as a Substitute teacher in a Norwegian Primary school (Kolbotn Skole) From 2017 to 2018: Taught French for beginners to a 9 year old and 19 year girl  

Approach:

My teaching style is very interactive; I believe it is important that the students participate in class and feel comfortable enough to ask questions if they do not understand something. To create a comfortable environment, I focus on getting to know the students first.  By understanding his or her personality and interests enables me to design a class that is suitable for that child or adult. Every child and adult are different, some are more visual, some have a good memory, some a shy some are very opinionated.... all these personality traits and capabilities are taken into consideration when I teach because I aim to provide a relevant, fun and efficient tutoring class that will encourage the student to improve faster.   I also focus a lot on repetition; this is an essential component of my classes – the objective of these classes are not to “cover a topic” ad tick a box, but rather to make sure that every concept studied is fully understood and can be applied in different contexts; this applies both for mathematics and languages.  All in all, I spend a lot of time planning and designing the classes to make sure I deliver the best classes to each student.  I am flexible with regards to time and locations (I  have a car so it makes it easier to get around)
