Experience:

Over 9 years teaching and tutoring in many schools and homes around greater Manchester, England (British Curriculum). Mostly Science and maths GCSE but also A-Level Physics, with excellent results. Experience teaching to Grade C (required for college) and to A* depending on the level of the student.

Approach:

As an International hurdler for for the last 10 years, I have mostly worked temporary contracts and tutoring jobs to fit around my training and competing. This gives me a specific experience in what works well for specific individuals when you have a limited time together. I bring the drive, enthusiasm and commitment required to succeed on the track to my teaching, and students usually respond well to my high expectations. There is an approach to motivate any student - whether it is the challenge of beating a previous "best score" like in a video game, or focusing on a goal such as A-levels or a career, I give them the confidence to believe in themselves and achieve the best results they can. It is a great moment when they start to see the answers for themselves!
