Experience:

TUTORING EXPERIENCE: After A Levels, I interned for 4months at a NGO, The Garage School, to teach Grade 3, 4 and 5, Monday to Friday. It was an unpaid job, catering those talented students who couldn’t afford an education. This was my first experience as a teacher, and I absolutely loved it. While studying at Zaynab Academy, in my third and fourth year, my teachers gave me an opportunity to teach the Arabic Syntax, Grammar and Morphology of Hadis. I had to design a curriculum for the subject, give lectures, schedule assignments and check papers, along with being a full time student. But I thoroughly enjoyed it as teaching has always been my passion. For the last 3.5months I teach Arabic Syntax and Grammar and Islamic Studies in Zaynab Academy Online (ZAO) in the mornings. This is unpaid and it is my chance to give back to the institute that changed my life. TUTORING APPROACH AND AVAILABILITY: I believe in a realistic and practical tutoring approach. A teacher should befriend her students however at the same time maintain class discipline and a formal relationship while teaching. Practice makes perfect. I also feel regular homework and tests, class interaction, cross questioning adds flavour to the subject, increases interest and maintains the attention span of students.
