Experience:

The Dhaka Project, Bangladesh - Teaching years 1-8 English & Art. Private tutor - Helping A Level Media Studies students with coursework and exam prep. Nursery teacher - Teaching ages 18 months - 3 years. Home School teacher - Teaching year 1 and year 5 students English, Math, Science, Social Studies. Private English tutor - Teaching adults basic English communication skills in one to one sessions.

Approach:

I believe in learning to teach oneself and I focus my teaching on an independent learning approach that requires my students to partake in assignments set regularly, which will require their own personal knowledge and their research skills to complete. I use regular assessments to help students track their progress and understand what they need to concentrate on improving. I believe in making my student's learning experience as personal as possible, by making lessons easy to relate to I find students tend to hold on to more of the information they have learnt.
