Experience:

Having taught in very demanding A*/A Grade driven schools; with over 6 years tutoring experience, I have taught in the UK and Internationally for over 10 years. I am a female science teacher, currently teaching the UK curriculum in an International School. I can teach (UK Curriculum): KS3 Science (Biology, Chemistry & Physics); KS4 Chemistry and/or Biology and IGCSE Chemistry and/or Biology; KS5 Chemistry - AS & A2 level (including IAL). I have also taught KS4/5 CIE (Cambridge) Chemistry and have IB SL/HL Chemistry experience. Being an external Examiner has allowed me to provide students with better support and guidance in achieving a decent grade within science.

Approach:

A variety of teaching strategies, whereby engaging a student for an intense subject is paramount. Strategies include a variety of examination techniques - how to interpret and answer past paper questions confidently and successfully, provide clearer understanding and application of subject specific language, and encouragement to perform to the utmost best every step of the way. Ultimately, motivation is key!
