Qualification:

BA (Honous) Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status

Experience:

I have 17 years full time teaching experience with ages 4 to 8 in UK and Dubai. I have worked at 2 well known schools in Dubai classed as 'outstanding'. I have tutored for a variety of children over the last 10 years.

Approach:

I provide tutoring to focus on areas of weakness identified by classroom teacher, boost confidence and enjoyment within learning or extend skills if gifted and talented. Work set is individualised and each session planned from progress within session before. Support for parents can be provided in how to break down teaching methods to enable them to help with homework and understand teaching methods used today. Pre-school aged children are tutored through practical activities and games, focussing on initial sounds and numbers as well as fine motor control and vocabulary extension.
