BA Combined Honours in Psychology & Criminology (University of Westminster, London)

Experience:

- 2009-2010: English language & Swedish language taught to refugees newly immigrated to Sweden. - 2010-2011: Mathematics, History and Science taught privately to ranging age groups in London-based schools. - 2012-present: 1) Working part-time at undisclosed language institute, teaching English and Swedish as second languages. 2) Private tutoring with 6 current students ranging from ages 6-15, teaching English mainly, but also aiding in Mathematics, Science and History.

Approach:

I practice a very balanced tutoring approach. I believe it is important to achieve mutual respect and understanding rather than dominating the situation with an authoritative approach. I've found that when the student sees me as a friend eager to help rather than a teacher practicing my authority, he/she is more willing to understand, be fully engaged and work hard. Furthermore, I aim to incorporate fun learning strategies in order to engage the student as much as possible in the given subject.
