  5. Sample of a Good Introduction For the past 60 years, there has been an increasing number of people, especially young women, that want to beautify themselves. These people have been going to great lengths to modify or redefine their facial or body features, and many undergo procedures, known as cosmetic surgery, in medical centres. In my opinion, using medical interventions to change a person's appearance and make them more attractive-looking is inappropriate and should be banned. My reasons for supporting this view will be discussed in the following paragraphs.
  6. Poor Quality Introduction Deciding on the advantages and disadvantages of living in a house compared to living in an apartment is a difficult issue for most people. From my point of view both options have pros and cons.
  7. Poor Quality Introduction In the past, leaving a public sponsored course half way through was not considered to be an illegal offence in many countries. Many people think that students that leave free educational courses should not be penalized. However, in my opinion, I strongly agree with the statement, accordingly, anyone wasting tax payer's money in any form, even if he is a student, should be fined.
  8. Low Quality Introduction Lately, more people, especially those under 30, are thinking about changing or correcting some part of their face and body. Many of them will finally go through some kind of medical intervention to get it done. Nowadays it is both easy and cheap to have surgery that gives you the appearance of your dreams. Many people think this surgery should be banned but I do not.
  9. Good Introduction Before the Second World War, people only lived in houses, which typically had two floors and a small back garden. However, from the 1950's onwards, in the developed world at least, high rise and low rise apartment blocks were built to provide an alternate style of accommodation for the growing population. Tower blocks of twenty or more floors are now widespread in modern cities, such as New York and Hong Kong. There are certainly a number of advantages and disadvantages of living in an apartment. These will be discussed in the following text.
  10. Good answer 60 years ago, many sports were very loosely regulated. Today, however, they are. Boxing, rugby, soccer, and all dangerous sports are being targeted by sports bodies and medical organizations in an effort to improve safety standards and to reduce injuries. However, for some people, this is not enough, and they would rather see dangerous sports banned completely. I do not agree with this point of view, and in this essay I will examine some arguments against banning dangerous sports.
