  2. AT IS WRITING TASK 2 Write s ort essay of 250 words (min 245 and max 275) You have 40 ninutes You r given brief details of an opinion, an argument or a prob em. You have to write a response. Writing task 2 carries more weight than writing task 1.

  7. COMMENT ADVERBS Comment adverbs are very common in both academic writing and speaking.   9. INTRODUCTION Starting an e s Yis always the most difficult part. Write a se e cejntroducing the topic and giving some background facts about it (paraphrase the question). Il the reader what you are going to write about (your opinion).

Tr to ad ress both sides of the issue —2 to 3 paragraphs of your op!niomand 1 opposing your view. Keep it short and simple. Try to vary the length of paragraphs and use a wide range of vocab.
  11. CONCLUSION Summarise you essay in the conclusion — one sentence for each paragraph i you can. Link you sentences using linking words. e-state your opinion.
  12. ERROR CHECKING Remember what your main problem area is and check that specifically. Check your verbs to make sure your tenses are correct — do not change tenses if it is not required. oof read for spelling.
