I have been in education/tutoring for a long time now, specializing in second language English learners. I have a Bachelor in Education from South Africa, where I also taught for 2 years. I have since moved to the UAE and taught here for almost 11years. I have experience in the National Curriculum as well as American Curriculum. I believe that each child learns differently and understanding what that is, is the first step to a successful lesson.

The first step is to work out the objectives and success criteria of the lesson, this comes from knowing what the student is currently learning and also what they need support in. I try use things that help motivate the learners, finding out what interests them, and also incorporating ICT and fun websites, which gets the student learning through play.
