I am a primary school teacher qualified in Ireland. I have experience teaching Kindergarten and Primary subjects in the UAE in both British and American curriculum schools. I have been working in private schools in Abu Dhabi since 2016. I am available to help your child with English Literacy, Writing, Reading, Phonics and Math and Science subjects. I can tailor a plan specific to meet your child's individual needs to ensure a successful academic year ahead.

This is my sixth year teaching here in Abu Dhabi. Primary & kindergarten experience. I identify the needs of students and if necessary adapt course content and delivery style to meet their needs. I create lesson plans, review worksheets, and practice tests to prepare students for weekly tests if required. I aim to work in tandem with the work being covered in school in order. First thing I do is find out where the student is in their learning and content knowledge. Identify the student's strengths and weaknesses and build a plan to best improve the student from that.  I have taught the Irish, American and British curriculum. I generally speak with the child and parents and plan around what the class teacher has assigned or what is being covered in class. I can provide extra materials if required to extend or scaffold their learning potential.

I am a fully qualified, native English speaking Primary Teacher with three years experience. I have been tutoring primary children in all grades using the Irish and American curriculum. Similarly, I have tutored children with English as their second language in Language Schools from a variety of nationalities. As a teacher, I aim for children to feel confident in their learning by providing support and unique lessons.

I base each lesson around the individual student in which I am working with and work to their areas of need. I use an interactive approach with a variety of techniques ensuring that children enjoy learning and work to their best ability. Children are supported with high standard lessons provided in a positive and encouraging manner tailored to them.

I am currently teaching Grade 3 in Abu Dhabi but have taught all ages across kindergarten and elementary level and within special education settings.

When tutoring, my lessons won't always follow the books your child is using in school. I base my lessons completely on the needs of the child. We can take a step back to ensure your child is completely comfortable with the basics to allow us to jump forward and challenge them further. I hold an International Professional Graduate Certificate in Teaching Practice (UK Level 6) in Early Years from Liverpool Hope University. My professional journey has been shaped by hands-on roles that have honed my skills in delivering high-quality early childhood education.

As an FS2 Maternity Cover Teacher at Mamoura British Academy, I developed and implemented engaging lesson plans aligned with the FS2 curriculum, effectively utilizing technology and innovative teaching strategies. This role reinforced my ability to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment, including the provision of exploration time where students engage in themed learning experiences. These experiences promoted children’s development across all EYFS areas and fostered curiosity and enthusiasm for learning through play.

Prior to this, I served as an FS2 Homeroom Teacher at GEMS The Cambridge High School for nearly five years. Here, I planned and executed play-based activities grounded in the EYFS Framework and adapted teaching methods based on formative and summative assessments. The experience of transitioning to online and hybrid teaching models during the pandemic enhanced my adaptability and proficiency in using digital tools to maintain a high level of student engagement and learning.
