Thank you for your interest! I am an English/Japanese bilingual female from Japan. I grew up in Tokyo where I taught both English and Japanese to children and adults. Even after moving to the UAE, I have continued to tutor English and Japanese. As a bilingual person, I am able to teach both English and Japanese. In terms of Japanese test scores, I scored full marks (180/180) for JLPT N1 in 2013. As for my English test scores, I scored a 112 for the TOEFL exam in 2013.

My teaching style will differ depending on what my student's priorities. For example, if my student wanted to improve his/her speaking, I would structure the class heavily on conversation, with maybe a few handouts on new grammar and vocabulary as a guideline. If my student was preparing for an exam, I would use textbooks and worksheets as a primary resource. I also incorporate music, cartoons/anime and recent news articles in my sessions to make classes more fun and culturally informed.
