This course focuses on external financial reporting, providing a general overview of financial statements and the accounting process that produces them. It course covers topics such as the nature and purpose of accounting and accounting information, fundamental accounting concepts, principles and methods, the accounting cycle, accounting for current and fixed assets, introduction to liability and owners, equity, with emphasis on sole proprietorship and partnership accounts, an introduction to financial statement analysis.
Students must understand this course for Managerial Accounting and other Accounting Major courses.
