There are two versions of IELTS tests - Academic IELTS and General Training Module. The Academic test is for candidates interested in pursuing higher studies at universities where the medium of instruction is English. Certain professionals, especially from the healthcare sector like nurses or doctors, planning to emigrate to countries such as Australia or the US usually need to take the Academic IELTS. The IELTS General Training Module is for those interested in emigrating to English-speaking countries such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, or the USA for work purposes.
