It is designed to equip students for employment with the entry-level skills of a certified nursing assistant in nursing homes, hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, home or community health agencies, or other healthcare facilities. The curriculum includes, but is not limited to, basic essentials of healthcare, interpersonal skills, medical terminology, the structure and function of the human body, legal and ethical responsibilities, employability skills, and safety in the workplace. The classroom time is 75 hours that is partly lecture and part hands on skills training.
