Course Details

This course is designed to provide students in primary grades (grades 1-5) with a solid foundation in mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills. The course will cover a range of topics including arithmetic, geometry, measurement, and data analysis.

Grade 1

In grade 1, students will focus on developing a strong understanding of numbers and basic arithmetic concepts. Topics covered will include:

• Counting and cardinality

• Addition and subtraction within 20

• Measurement and data

• Geometry

Grade 2

In grade 2, students will build on the foundation established in grade 1 and will learn more advanced arithmetic concepts. Topics covered will include:

• Addition and subtraction within 100

• Multiplication and division

• Measurement and data

• Geometry

Grade 3

In grade 3, students will continue to build on the foundation established in grades 1 and 2, and will begin to explore more complex mathematical concepts. Topics covered will include:

• Multiplication and division within 100

• Fractions

• Measurement and data

• Geometry

Grade 4

In grade 4, students will begin to develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills. Topics covered will include:

• Multiplication and division of larger numbers

• Fractions and decimals

• Measurement and data

• Geometry

Grade 5

In grade 5, students will focus on applying the skills and concepts learned in earlier grades to more complex problem-solving situations. Topics covered will include:

• Fractions, decimals, and percentages

• Algebraic concepts

• Measurement and data

• Geometry

Throughout the course, students will also be exposed to real-world problem-solving situations to help them understand the relevance and application of mathematics in their daily lives. Additionally, the course will focus on developing critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills that will prepare students for the challenges of middle and high school, as well as college and the workplace.
