Course Details

About the Course:
The Foundation Course is the entry-level program for Chartered Accountancy. Students can register after passing Class X and appear for the Foundation Examination after completing Class XII and a four-month study period. Exams are conducted twice a year (May/November).

Eligibility:

• Open to Class X pass students for registration.
• Graduates/Postgraduates with required marks or those who have cleared intermediate exams of ICAI/ICSI are exempt and can register directly for the Intermediate Course.

Course Structure:
The course includes four papers:

1. Principles and Practice of Accounting (100 Marks)
2. Business Law & Business Correspondence and Reporting (100 Marks)
   • Section A: Business Law (60 Marks)
   • Section B: Business Correspondence and Reporting (40 Marks)
3. Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning & Statistics (100 Marks)
   • Part I: Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning (60 Marks)
   • Part II: Statistics (40 Marks)
4. Business Economics & Business and Commercial Knowledge (100 Marks)
   • Part I: Business Economics (60 Marks)
   • Part II: Business and Commercial Knowledge (40 Marks)

Exam Details:

• Papers 3 and 4 are objective with negative marking.
• Passing Criteria: Minimum 40% in each paper and 50% aggregate.

Other Key Points:

• Registration valid for 3 years; revalidation available for ₹500.
