ENGLISH LANGUAGE CLASSES

The overarching aim of Plato’s Planet’s is to promote high standards of language and literacy programs to equip students and adults to communicate with International intelligibility. Universally it is proven that effective communication is a vital life skill and key to personal and career success.

READING

• The Reading program has been tailored to enable students improve comprehension, concentration, retention and study skills.
• It lays emphasis on developing the habit of reading widely and extensively, for both pleasure and information.

WRITING

• Our Writing program is structured to develop an interest in writing creatively, adapting language and style for a range of context, purpose and audience.
• Develop writing with technical accuracy of syntax, punctuation in phrases, clauses and sentences to improve coherence and overall effectiveness.

SPEAKING AND LISTENING

• The main strength of this program is the ability to make one competent in the art of speaking and listening, making formal presentations and participating in debate, role play and dramatics
• Listening and responding to others, including in pairs and groups, shaping meanings through suggestions, comments, and questions.
