CEPA stands for Common Educational Proficiency Assessment. It was designed to assess the academic readiness of students from the United Arab Emirates educational system. There are two exams: English and Math. CEPA exams are administered at the UAE federal institutions of higher education. The test is primarily for Emirati nationals in grade 12. The CEPA-English score indicates an overall level of English proficiency. It is not meant to measure how well a student performed in a specific English course, nor does it claim to be a comprehensive test of all English skills. CEPA scores have been shown to be a very good predictor of student success at UAE institutions of higher education.
