ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the global body for professional accountants with 170,000 members and 436,000 students in 180 countries.  ACCA offers business-relevant, first-choice qualifications to people of application, ability and ambition around the world who seek a rewarding career in accountancy, finance, and management.

ACCA Middle East was formally established in Dubai in 2004 and is part of ACCA’s global network of 91 offices around the world.

Accountants and Auditors Association, AAA UAE and Association of Chartered Accountants, ACCA-UK are in strategic partnership to enhance the finance sector in UAE by offering the UAECA Qualification.

Exams – 14 papers (students may be able to claim up to nine exemptions depending on their previous studies)

Ethics – an online Professional Ethics module

Experience – 13 performance objectives that must be achieved in the workplace over a period of at least three years.

The ACCA qualification is divided into two levels – Fundamentals and Professional. The Fundamentals level is sub-divided into two modules – Knowledge and Skills. The Knowledge module introduces students to the core areas of financial and management accounting. This provides the platform from which the other technical accountancy areas will be studied in greater detail in the Skills module. Te Skills module contains six subjects which comprehensively cover the main technical areas that any accountant, regardless of their future career aspirations, are expected to have mastered. These comprise law, performance management, taxation, financial reporting, auditing and financial management.

The Professional level is sub-divided into two modules – Essentials and Options.

Three GCSEs and two A Levels in five separate subjects including maths and English or their equivalent are required for this accountancy qualification.

Foundation Level Qualification

None, it is open access.  So if you do not have the entry requirements to start at the ACCA Qualification, you can start your studies here. If you are starting out in accounting and finance or already working in finance but have no formal qualifications, you can start your journey with ACCA at our foundations level.
