Course Details

The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt course will advance the skills and knowledge of professionals who, through practical experience, have demonstrated their basic mastery of the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) process and by previously attaining Six Sigma Green Belt status. The application of a critical thinking using the data acquired through the DMAIC methodology to support company process improvement efforts will be major focus of the discussions and in-class activities. This course is an instructor-led, classroom-based environment. The instruction is a blend of lecture, application, individual and team-based exercises. Laptop computers will be used extensively during the class. There is normally additional 50 hours recommended of self-study and practice where the individual returns to their work environment to apply the knowledge and skills learned in class to their projects. This entire course is 5 days in length.
