Course Details

This workshop is designed for use with all levels of staff up to management level and is intended to help participants develop better problem solving and decision making skills and encourage analytical thinking. Exercises will focus on the following areas:

• Define structured process of problem solving.
• Tools for investigating the causes of problem.
• How to break problem down and usage of fishbone chart.
• Key rules of brainstorming
• “Reframe” (or Reversal) as an idea generation technique.
• Personal action planning
• Encourage participants to think about their preferred thinking style.
• Decision making matrix
• Importance of weighting alternatives when making decision.
• Evaluation of Idea or Alternatives.
• Method of Evaluation
• How to implement solutions?
• Role of Analytical thinking and attention to detail in decision making & problem solving.
• Action Plan*
