Course Details

After commencing the course successful delegates will receive a CITB Construction Skills Certificate – Safe Erection and Dismantling of Basic Scaffolds (Overseas) Part B. The course aims to provide an introduction to scaffolding, covering the safe erection and alteration of a range of scaffolding structures.

Contents:

• Correct and safe methods of erecting truss-out, pavement gantry, loading bay, splay, protective fan, use of prefabricated beams and roof scaffolds in system and proprietary systems
• Regulations governing the safe erecting, inspection and dismantling of these scaffolds and the work methods to be adopted
• Determining the material requirements for truss-out, pavement gantry, loading bay, splay, protective fan, use of prefabricated beams and roof scaffolds in system and proprietary systems
• Laying out materials, interpreting design drawing, setting out scaffolds and overcoming obstacles to erect the scaffold safely
• Constructing scaffolds to statutory regulations following the safe systems of work set out in UK best practice document
