Course Details

The course aims to provide an introduction to scaffolding, covering the safe erection and alteration of a range of scaffolding structures. The course contents are as listed below:

• Correct and safe methods of erecting independent and putlog with returns, towers and birdcage scaffolds in tube and fitting and proprietary systems
• Regulations governing the safe erecting, inspection and dismantling of these scaffolds and the work methods to be adopted
• Determining the material requirements for and putlog with returns, towers and birdcage scaffolds in tube and fitting and proprietary systems
• Laying out materials, setting out scaffolds and overcoming obstacles to erect the scaffold safely
• Constructing scaffolds to statutory regulations following the safe systems of work set out in UK best practice document
• Team working to erect, alter and dismantle scaffold structures safely and in the correct sequence
