It is very common for disputes to arise under any construction contract: technical disputes regarding defective works, often require expert evidence, disputes over payment certificates, disputes over allocation of liabilities and detection of fault between various contractors working at the same time. Our primary concern is to resolve the claim or dispute for our client, quickly and cost-effectively. We focus on our clients’ commercial objectives. Our role is to help our clients to manage the risk of a potential dispute, to avoid a dispute that will be commercially disruptive and to resolve one as soon as it occurs. We encourage clients to follow multi-tired arbitration procedure if the contract has one and there are decent chances of settlement.
