Course Details

This workshop will demonstrate how to turn textbook information into a problem-solving activity incorporating teamwork, independent learning and opportunities for assessment at all levels. For schools that are very keen to embed the culture of Enterprise and Active Learning, we can offer a practical session involving 50 - 80 students linking a number of cross-curricular areas including the environment, performing arts, health education, business development and cultural awareness. These sessions can be a half or full day workshop, depending on need and age of students. Suitable for Grades 7 - 11 and all curricula.

In the workshop the participants will :

• Understand why enquiry-based learning is deeper and lasts longer
• Learn the basic components of enquiry-based learning
• Explore the application of higher level thinking skills
• Master the design of problem solving tasks that bring school textbooks alive
