Effective learning rarely happens by chance. Teachers must use a number of skills from their considerable learning armoury. These include: planning, recording, challenging, demonstrating, securing, managing, adapting, explaining, discussing, interrogating, reviewing, evaluating, modifying, establishing and questioning. They cannot do that without planning.
This workshop uses a basic lesson planning model and gives teachers practical ideas for devising interesting, effective lessons. This workshop can be extended to include whole and half-day sessions for specific departments on planning a series of lessons using active learning approaches and available resources, and paired observation of lessons in action with coaching and feedback.
