The most effective professional development is often found within schools. There are few schools that do not have excellent practitioners. However, it can feel really daunting standing up in front of others as the 'expert'. People expect a lot when they go on a course, and a 'run of the mill' training puts people to sleep or fails to energise trainees so desired changes don’t happen.
