Course Details

The expectations of senior leaders means they need to manage their time very efficiently and balance the demands of a wide range of stakeholders. This workshop looks at strategies for responding to the daily demands of the senior leader role. This course can be extended to include a session for Heads of Department/Faculty, Curriculum Coordinators and Heads of Year on managing the role efficiently.

Participants will :

• Explore the theory of ‘efficiency’ and the difference between efficiency and effectiveness
• Learn forensic approaches to dealing with underperforming staff
• Explore strategies for dealing with student incidents more efficiently
• Learn how to run an effective meeting and achieve all its objectives in the shortest possible time
• Undertake a practical exercise on time management and learn how to prioritise, maximize the use of time and delegate whilst retaining responsibility
