Course Details

The Focal Point Leadership Program is designed for high school students to develop their leadership and communication skills and then be able to evidence this in a job or college application. It is not always true that only grades are important - oth employers and college application committees look for a well-rounded candidate with diverse experience. The more involvement you have in these and similar programmes, the more they will benefit you, building self-confidence and experience.

Key objectives of the program are as follows:

• Train you in the areas of communication, decision making and time management.
• Enable you to be a self-confident and independent thinker.
• Help you recognize, develop and then evidence your strengths.
• Empower you to commit to making a meaningful impact both locally and globally.
• Develop social awareness and a global perspective.
• Ensure that every student is familiar with applied skills: creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, adaptability, teamwork
