Hello!         I am Laya and I teach mainly Math and Science for High School students. I have been tutoring for past 3 years. My teaching methodology starts with getting access of the topics that are followed in the curriculum of the respective grade. The topics will be divided in such a way that the fundamentals will be discussed first and then subsequent topics with increasing level of complexity. Before starting in to the subject, I shall pass the information about the course details to the students so that they get an overall idea on the subject. The lessons are planned in a way that each session will have theoretical and analytical parts as well. Also, applications if any will be discussed. At the end of each session, workshops or a self assessment quiz will be scheduled. I plan lessons after thorough reading and analysis of the topic. I try to include practical examples ensuring that students don't blindly by heart things.           Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has got quite a major importance in online learning. A task simply said is easy compared to something that is to be made understood in a distant manner. So inorder to express the right meaning apart from notes and pictures, more technological use has to be made. As current internet usage is faster and comfortable than the previous years, nearly all students could get access to the technological updates made in online teaching. I prefer including audio and video files supporting the subject so that students get a more wider knowledge of what they have been reading or listening through. Also, if any softwares are to be used in the learning of the topic, demo video of the same can be included which will help rather than listing out the steps on how to use it.          I believe both teaching and learning need honesty as its key component to be successful. If a student could not understand my teaching or if he/she is uncomfortable with my teaching method, it should be conveyed as soon as possible so that I could make relevant changes. I prefer to provide motivation to the students by prompt feedback to them which makes them feel that I am attentive to their doubts and they are of importance to me. When my feedback goes down, the students' involvement too goes down. At the completion of the course, I shall ask all the students to fill course evaluation form which will help me to improve myself.
