Pearson UK BTEC Extended Diploma in Strategic Management & Leadership @ AL ZAEEM (KHDA Approved Institute)
The Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership (EDSML) is an advanced program specifically meant for those who have already gained a recognized diploma or degree and who now wish to study a course that prepares them for a senior role in a management position. The emphasis during the course is on those aspects, which are essential for effective managerial functions within commercial or non-commercial organizations.
The program is designed to allow the student to complete it in as little as 10 – 12 months of classroom study part time. The student can complete the program at a pace decided between themselves and the student counsellor. Learners may take individual units of the qualification which can be certificated by a Certificate of Achievement.
Certification:
On successfully completing the program, students will receive the Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership by Edexcel.
Status of Qualification:
Advanced vocational qualification.

Course Structure
The Pearson BTEC Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership is a 120 -credit qualification that consists of 3 mandatory unit plus optional units that provide for a combined total of 120 credits.
The Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership builds on existing managerial skills and knowledge, providing a greater understanding of the various roles and responsibilities involved in strategic management. Through focusing on specific areas of management and this level, the Certificate enables learners to tailor the qualification to suit their professional needs.
Academic Progression:
A possible progression path after a level 7 Extended Diploma, is to enter a university MBA top-up programme. Students who complete the Extended Diploma may be eligible to enter directly onto a select Universities Top-up MBA programme. Other possible routes for MA/MSc top-up programmes are also available.
Recognition
BTECs are understood and recognised by a large number of organisations in a wide range of sectors. BTEC qualifications are developed with key industry representatives and Sector Skills Councils (SSC) to ensure that they meet employer and student needs — in this case, the Council for Administration (CfA). Many industry and professional bodies offer successful BTEC students exemptions for their own accredited qualifications.
