In today’s time, where different type of gadgets are developed everyday children have almost forgot about reading books. With increasing technology and internet, as more and more new apps are created and new and with introduction of advanced and attractive type of games, children have lost interest in reading books and novels. Parents and teachers should try and reduce the usage of these smart phones and other gadgets and encourage their children to read. We all know that reading is a habit and once the children start reading regularly they will enjoy it. Also there should be a proper balance between usage of internet and mobile phones and reading books.
Advantages of reading habits
Reading improves vocabulary and a child’s speech as by reading they learn how to speak properly and use words correctly. This will help them to use correct grammar in the future. Reading allows kids to create lands from their imagination and visualize worlds that are otherwise couldn’t be visited. The thoughts of a child are more creative than any other movie.
Children can learn huge amount from books, morals and manners to name as a book always has a deep meaning and sets an example for young readers. Reading opens up a child’s mind in a time when they are stuck into tablets and forget to engage with the world around them.

You will never be lonely or bored if you have a book in your bag. You can read while travelling, while waiting in a queue or at various places.
Reading relaxes the body and calms the mind. The constant movement, flashing light and noise which disturb senses when we watch television, playing games on computer are actually quite stressful for our brains. When we read there is silence around us and it is much less stressful than watching television.
As we say books are our best friends. Indeed they are, always makes us happy and never leaves us. Reading is a habit which people of all group age should follow. It can be of various types like books, novels, comics, newspaper, magazines etc. Read the type of subjects you are interested in but make sure you read everyday.
