The Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) on Wednesday reported that 41 million individuals over the world have profited by its 'Spreading Education and Knowledge' programs, which added up to Dh628 million in 2018.
Spreading Education and Knowledge is one of the five supports of MBRGI, other than Healthcare and Disease Control, Humanitarian Aid and Relief, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Empowering Communities.
Projects of Dubai Cares, some portion of MBRGI, upheld 22.6 million individuals in 39 countries a year ago, while the Arab Reading Challenge's 2018/2019 version drew 13.5 million students who are taking part over the Arab world.
Madrasa e-learning stage propelled in 2018, profited 1.1 million students in the initial three months of its dispatch through its 5,000 free Arabised science and math recordings, created for 50 million Arab students. MBRGI has additionally granted 115 grants, associations and seed gifts.
Saeed Mohammad Al Eter Al Danhani, assistant secretary-general of MBRGI, said: “The foundation continues to implement sustainable projects with aims to improve the lives of vulnerable communities through knowledge and education.”
He included that the establishment's work epitomizes the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, it focuses on spreading learning and training to engage individuals to become supporters in building their communities.
In the interim, Dubai Cares has proceeded with its endeavors to change the educational systems and guarantee access to quality training is accessible to kids and youth in the most oppressed networks far and wide.
Dubai Cares CEO Tariq Al Gurg said: “We also continued to drill down into serious and challenging issues affecting the world today and have introduced new innovative programmes that prepare girls for the 21st century skills, ensure youth have relevant skills matching the job market and strengthen school leadership.”
He added: “We have come to a point where we are witnessing at large how these children and youth, equipped with education, are influencing positive change within their societies. However, the task at hand is massive, and unless we dedicate ourselves to it and work hand in hand, it will grow and become more challenging.”
Dubai Cares activities profited more than 22.6 million individuals in 39 countries in 2018. It extended its educational and formative projects in 2018, with the spotlight on youth and empowering girls, to four new countries: Ecuador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Guatemala.
MBRGI is arranging a compassionate workmanship display in Dubai Mall from May 19 to 31 exhibiting its 2018 accomplishments.
