Having had my daughter attend this tutor for several months I informed her that we would be taking a break for the summer. Following this I was offered a job away from Abu Dhabi and attempted to plan in advance to find a tutor in my new location, using this site. The tutor having seen this then sent my wife a message, followed by her sending me fifteen emails, all of a not very pleasant nature. I attempted to explain my situation to the tutor, whom I had had good relations with. The tutor then sent me several unpleasant messages and having asked her not to send me another message again, I was forced to block her number. The behaviour of this tutor was totally unacceptable and I can only say to any other person, that I would very strongly consider whether you use them or not. I had originally posted a nice review on this site, however after receiving all the messages, I asked for it to be removed and I am now explaining to everyone why. On a purely educational note, the tutor was very keen to begin with, going over grammar and reading etc, however towards the end, she did not cover anything I asked, returning reading books as homework (clearly I cannot understand the language I asked her to teach, otherwise I would not need the tutor), there was a lot of play, not a lot of work. I am not writing this review out of spite in any way, I just believe that you should know the kind of tutor you are getting.

I have been teachingÃÂ in the UAE for 4 years and in Ireland for a previous 5 years. I am currently working In International Community School in Mushrif. I have 7 years experience in tutoring in the areas of English, Math, Science and Social studies. I received an honours degree in primary education from Trinity College Dublin. I feel that my experience in tutoring students from grades 1- 10 would allow me to improve grades of any students.

Tutoring Approach

I feel that an active approach to learning is very important when it comes to tutoring. One where the child is not always siting down while learning. I feel a child learns best when they are interacting with the content they are learning. Using real life examples in learning allows the child to relate the learning to themselves and therefore understand the content better. Most of all I feel that the learning experience must be a fun one so that the child is interested and wants to learn more. All of my students have improved their grades with my help on their school work.
